A Retailer Sells Fake Nike Shoes Attorneys representing Nike in the case did not return several phone calls seeking comment. Erin Patterson, a spokeswoman for Nike, declined to comment. A need for extra income was the whole reason Aburumuh started selling the shoes. He said he first bought a few pairs of what he thought were legit Air Jordans from a co-worker at discount. He thought it was cool that he could get Air Jordans for about $60 when they retail for more than $100. So Aburumuh asked his friend more about it. That's when he learned about an online company based in China that sold Nike shoes in bulk at wholesale prices. Two months into the business, and with only about 50 pairs of nike shoes sold,not even a $1,000 profit Aburumuh said Nike's legal representatives came calling. News for Sunday 07 February, 2010
